Out of School Care

Before and after school can be a busy time for a lot of parents. Our centre is conveniently open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate parents who need help dropping and picking their children up from school because of their own work or school schedules. 

Children are transported to school in our centre buses. We provide transportation to and from John Paul I, Greenview, Malcolm Tweddle, Lee Ridge and St. Elizabeth schools. 

Before and after school, children are free to play as they wish. There are a lot of fun and developmentally appropriate toys and activities located throughout our Out of School Care room.

During breaks from school, we also schedule a variety of activities and outings to ensure children never get bored. We have organized field trips to neighbourhood splash parks, Valley Zoo, Telus World of Science, Jurassic Forest and many more fun places around Edmonton. 

Sunshine Academy has an onsite kitchen facility and we provide Kindergarten children registered in half day programs with a hot lunch each day. Our menu rotates on a regular basis – please see our sample menu to see the yummy food that our children eat.
