Preschool

The focus of our Preschool Room is to start getting our children ready for Kindergarten.

We have two Preschool Rooms which are organized into different learning centres where children can move freely, explore, learn and play.  Our learning centres include art, water and sand sensory tables, manipulative play, blocks, large motor skill development, literacy and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

Outdoor daily play is an important part of child development and so our teachers make sure it is incorporated every day. Our Preschoolers are often found exploring our neighbourhood or playing in our backyard.

Sunshine Academy has an onsite kitchen facility and we provide children ages 19 months and up with a hot lunch each day. Our menu rotates on a regular basis – please see our sample menu to see the yummy food that our children eat.
