Toddlers

Our energetic Toddler Room provides children with a safe environment in which they can explore their growing world. Teachers plan weekly activities and experiences to aid children in reaching developmental milestones and learning new skills. 

In this room parents can expect teachers to assist children in potty training and teachers will communicate with parents on a daily basis about their child’s day, including their eating, sleeping and toileting progress.

Outdoor play is very important to us – at Sunshine Academy the toddlers can often be found playing in our backyard or going for a walk in the neighbourhood.

Our daily routine incorporates a variety of activities geared at helping child development, including gross motor activities, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities, multicultural awareness, outdoor play and much more.

Sunshine Academy has an onsite kitchen facility and we provide children ages 19 months and up with a hot lunch each day. Our menu rotates on a regular basis – please see our sample menu to see the yummy food that our children eat.
